The Asagao Ring takes its form from the morning glory — a flower that recurs throughout ukiyo-e not for its rarity, but for what it captures: blooming at dawn and gone before midday. Cast in sterling silver, the ring holds the flower mid-bloom — petals caught between opening and giving way, their surfaces creased and unresolved. Nothing smoothed, nothing fixed.
